East Coast Construction

Two Generations, One Foundation

Todd Beach started his business in Franklin, New Jersey, in 1985. He moved it to Hillsborough in 1997, and East Coast Construction has called the town home ever since. Today Todd runs the company with his son Matthew Beach, who is a co-owner, and the two of them show up to every job together as a licensed general contracting team based right in Hillsborough.

East Coast Construction specializes in kitchen and bathroom renovations, but the work does not stop there. We do anything from repairing a window to full house renovations.

Several clients have moved to new homes over the years, and they still call only East Coast Construction for any work, not wanting anyone else in the house but the same team they’ve always trusted.

The craftsmanship shows in the details too. On one renovation of a home built in the 1870s in Somerville, the team recreated a period appropriate black and white bathroom, cutting each piece of trim tile by hand to match the house’s original, slightly crooked lines. On another job, a client who had waited two years to start her bathroom renovation was moved to tears of happiness when she saw the finished result. Moments like these are why so many of East Coast Construction’s clients become personal friends long after the work is done.

East Coast Construction was featured in New Jersey’s Home & Design Magazine in 2007, recommended as a contractor homeowners could trust and rely on. They have never had to advertise. The work has always come by word of mouth. That same trust now spans two generations, with clients Todd has worked with for years calling East Coast Construction again for their own children’s homes too.
