BrightView Electric

Powered by Experience, Rooted in Hillsborough

Matthew Sczesny grew up in Hillsborough, graduated from Hillsborough High School, and has been running BrightView Electric long enough to know just about every kind of electrical problem a home or business in this area can throw at you. He built this company here, and that connection to the community shows in how he runs it.

Customers describe working with BrightView the same way every time: someone picks up the phone, shows up on time, explains what needs to be done, lays out the options, and keeps you in the loop from start to finish. No job is considered too small, and the team treats every home and business with the same level of care and attention.

The work spans a wide range, about an even split between residential and commercial. Recessed lighting, panel upgrades, EV charger installations, generators, home audio, security cameras, low-voltage wiring. BrightView holds Lutron lighting control certification and handles permits and inspections directly, sometimes absorbing unexpected permit costs rather than passing them to the client.

If you’ve watched This Old House, you may have seen Matthew’s work. BrightView appeared on two seasons of the show, a nod to the kind of craftsmanship that gets you noticed beyond your own backyard.

Matthew is straightforward about what homeowners should do before hiring any electrician: verify licensing, insurance, bonding, and workers’ comp, and make sure the scope of work is spelled out clearly before anyone picks up a tool. BrightView checks every one of those boxes, backs its work with a five-year workmanship warranty, and gives customers multiple pricing options so there are no surprises.

Brightview Electric is a great company. Matt has helped me on several projects including installing new equipment(recessed lighting and charging equipment) and troubleshooting technical issues. He is quick, affordable and reliable. All work is done timely and never any quality issues.
